Families in Pocket Balance Million-Dollar Estates with Affordable Homes While Investing in Kids’ Education
Hey it's Sarai. So something I noticed is that the Pocket is a really weird place. Some houses cost millions of dollars, and they're super big with pools and fancy lawns. But other houses are a lot cheaper, and they're more like my house. My father says that means families in the Pocket have very different amounts of money.
This matters because some kids can go to expensive camps and classes, like robotics or coding, while other kids can't afford them. My friend Emma goes to a fancy coding camp every summer, but I had to wait until my father found out about My Money Camp to learn about money. Not every kid gets the same chances, and that's not fair.
“Every kid should get a chance to learn cool stuff, no matter how much money their family has.”
But some families who don't have lots of money still find ways to help their kids learn. They go to free programs at the library or sign up for 4-H. My father says every kid should get a chance to learn cool stuff, no matter how much money their family has. I agree!
I hope one day all kids in the Pocket, no matter where they live or how much money their parents have, can go to the same great programs. Science, technology, and money skills are important for everyone, not just kids with rich parents. Maybe when I'm older, I can help make that happen for my sister Alani and all the other kids too.
